ERDF – European Regional Development Fund
Smart, sustainable and more cohesive growth – these are the Europa 2020 goals which guide the Austrian IGE/ERDF programme, among others. The “programming” of the aid programme also integrates national and regional strategic goals. Research and innovation, CO2 reduction, improving competitiveness of local SME and new concepts for regional development are further themes of the programme. In 2021, the IGE/ERDF programme has received additional financing from REACT-EU to help mitigate the economic impact of the Corona pandemic, and this will be used to support a green, digital and stable recovery of the economy.
Our UiG project is also cofinanced by the funds from the ERDF. The project is about promoting innovative, technology-oriented and knowledge-based business ideas with good commercial prospects.
De Minimis
De minimis aid is financial aid granted to
- an enterprise or a group of enterprises forming a “single undertaking”
- within a period of three years
- up to a maximum value of € 200,000.
Financial aid is subject to simplified regulations and monitoring mechanisms by the European Union if it is granted in accordance with the rules of the “De Minimis Regulation”and with explicit reference to this regulation.
In order to enable effective scrutiny of compliance with the aid ceiling, the enterprise applying for aid is required to declare all the de minimis aid it receives within the relevant period: any aid confirmed at the time of submission of the application or being applied for at the same time must be declared in full and any changes that occur during the processing period of the application must be reported without delay.
